It supports 6 positions (bottom-center, bottom-left, bottom-right, top-center, top-left, top-right), three number formats (Arabic, Roman, letters) and custom prefixes like "Page X of Y", plus a configurable starting page so cover and table-of-contents pages can stay unnumbered. Page numbers are overlaid as text objects on the content stream without modifying original content, keeping the text layer intact and searchable. A few practical recommendations: for academic papers, skip the cover and begin numbering from the body; for contracts, use "Page X of Y" so parties can reference clauses precisely; and when merging several documents into one book, standardize the numbering scheme first to avoid a mismatched final page sequence. All processing runs client-side via WebAssembly, making it a safe, controllable way to organize contracts, theses and meeting packets.

Can the position be customized?
